About Sheerr Weather:
NL's Trusted Weather Expert

The Name You Know, Forecasts You Can Trust

Bringing Newfoundland and Labrador the Weather Coverage You Deserve

Over the years, many of you tuned into my forecasts on NTV and followed along on social media. With over 12 years of forecasting experience in one of the most challenging weather regions in the world—Newfoundland and Labrador—I bring a deep understanding of our unique climate to everything I do.

I founded Sheerr Weather and officially launched it in the summer of 2025.

I created this platform to take that coverage to the next level—delivering weather like you've never seen before in Newfoundland and Labrador. With multiple daily updates, live broadcasts, and in-depth severe weather coverage, I'm here to keep you informed, every step of the way.

I know many people and communities trust my name and this not something I take lightly. Through this new endeavour, I will continue to combine science, technology, education, and  my personal flair to bring you forecasts and weather information that is accurate, accessible, authentic, and dependable.

Meet Eddie

One of NL’s Most Trusted Weather Experts

You might know me from TV, radio, or social media—especially if you've tuned in during a storm. From 2013 to 2025, I was on your screen at NTV, helping Newfoundland and Labrador stay ahead of whatever the weather threw our way.

Now, with Sheerr Weather, I’m taking that same passion and experience to a whole new level. After more than 17 years in meteorology, I’ve learned how to cut through the noise and deliver forecasts that are clear, accurate, and actually useful. This work has never just been about the weather—it’s about helping you stay safe, plan your day, and feel connected to the place we call home.

A Small Team… For Now

The Future is Bright!

Sheerr Weather is a one-person show—but don’t let that fool you. I wear a lot of hats: forecasting, producing, posting, and doing everything it takes to keep you informed. And while it's just me (officially) at the moment, I’m building something bigger—laying the groundwork for a platform that will one day include a dedicated team behind the scenes.

From developing new tools to sharing updates in real time, my goal is simple: to make sure you’re always informed, prepared, and never caught off guard by the weather in Newfoundland and Labrador.

My Story

From a One-Man Mission to a Trusted Weather Resource

Sheerr Weather started as my own mission: to give Newfoundland and Labrador the kind of accurate, trustworthy weather updates we need. After more than a decade at NTV, it was time for a change—and with everything shifting toward digital, it felt like the right moment to build something local, modern, and built for how people consume weather content today.

With Sheerr Weather, my goal is to make forecasting more personal, more accessible, and more useful—whether it’s a quick check on your phone or a deep dive during a storm. What is starting off as a solo effort will grow, and the long-term vision is simple: a go-to weather source built right here, for the people of Newfoundland and Labrador (and beyond).

2013 - The Beginning

In 2013, Eddie moved to NL to begin his career with NTV. He also had a goal to build NTV’s weather brand from the ground up. Over the last 12 years, that goal became a reality.

2020 - The Middle

In 2020 it became apparent that society was beginning to consume weather forecasts in new ways as social media and digital media evolve and mature

2025 - Launch Sheerr Weather

In 2025, Eddie decided to launch his own platform to deliver crucial weather information to Newfoundlanders and Labradorians in new and innovative ways that match today’s shift in how people of all ages are consuming weather, news and media.
