A Frost Advisory is in effect for much of eastern, central and northern Newfoundland tonight into early Monday morning.

Areas under the advisory:

The details:

Conditions are favourable for patchy frost to develop tonight, with partly clear skies and light winds teaming up with cool air. Minimum temperatures are expected to dip to between -1 and +4 °C, coldest in low-lying and frost-prone spots. The risk runs through early Monday morning.

What to do:

Take steps to protect cold-sensitive plants, trees, and crops. Cover up anything vulnerable, especially in low-lying areas where the cold settles first.
