We are off to a cool start this morning across the island with temperatures into the single digits under sunny skies. Labrador is generally a bit warmer but there certainly are some cool spots out there to begin the day. The map below shows the current temperatures as of 6 AM NDT.

Today across the Island expect wall to wall sunshine, with highs reaching the middle teens to lower 20s. The exception will be in the south, where onshore winds will keep readings into the lower teens. Wind speeds will not be much of a factor today.

Some of the storms will be strong and will produce gust winds, small hail, brief heavy rainfall and frequent thunder and lightning. The storms will generally move from northwest to southeast. Hights reach the teens and 20s.
